Paddling at the Beach

This little dog never ceases to amaze me.

We’re constantly introducing her to different things and she always takes it in strides. I always worry she will be hesitant or scared and she never is.

Matt and I went down to Capitola to visit his mom for mother’s day. We brought the inflatable kayak to go paddle around at the beach. However dogs are not allowed on the beach. Fortunately Matt’s brother in law pointed out a little cove that wasn’t accessible by land, so we would be the only ones there. We tossed our little Riken in the raft and paddled out so she had a chance to run about and play on the beach.

And the rest of the pictures are of her in the raft. She was such a great girl! I think she was a little hesitant, but more curious as to what was going on around her. Oh and the surfer is Matt’s brother in law, Marcus.

You might notice she doesn’t have a life jacket on, but we’re waiting for it to come in through the mail. We’ll have some picture of her rafting on the King’s River with us during the June full moon the first weekend of June!
